QLTS School

Named after the QLTS exam for foreign-qualified lawyers to get their UK credentials, this school will be offering SQE prep courses as the new superexam becomes the new route for domestic and overseas.

In conversation with sources at the QLTS School, we heard the structure of the SQE will be extremely similar to that of the old QLTS (albeit more rigorous), putting them in a good position to provide students with the resources necessary to pass the exams. With plenty of experience helping lawyers of the future prepare for multiple choice tests, the provider has leveraged its extensive database of prep materials and offers its customers a total of 6,000 practice questions as part of its resources.

SQE1 Prep

With flexible timeframes to study their courses in, QLTS School offers 'Basic', 'Advantage' and 'Premium' packages for each stage of exam study. The 'Basic' plan includes access to textbooks, revision notes and other resources, plus 10 mock tests of 90 questions each. 'Advantage' students also get access to a video library, and 20 additional mock tests. Stump up for 'Premium' and you'll receive a tailor-made study plan, plus two hours of support from a tutor.

As you've probably guessed, the plans with more included are progressively more expensive, but all of them are relatively affordable compared to others on the market. QLTS School looks like a good bet for self-starters who want to set their own timetable and aren't looking for as much interaction with a tutor or careers service.

Fees: £1,590-£2,390

SQE2 Prep

Once again, there are three plans on offer for students: the pricier packages come with additional mock practice stations for the skills you'll need to pass SQE2, as well as additional mock exams.

More details, including fees for these courses, will be available in November 2021.
