Philosophy

We strive to be trusted advisors for our clients. We believe that legal services are useful and effective only when clients trust our ability and experience, quality and efficiency and, above all, integrity and judgement. Trust is also the cornerstone of our firm culture. We value each other, learn from each other and rejoice being in the company of each other. With trust we grow with clients. With trust we thrive as a firm.

Adjacent to trust is our belief that legal knowledge and training must be combined with business sense to solve real problems. We grow with clients only if we take ownership of their problems and find solutions.

Firm culture

We organise ourselves in ways that reward cooperation among all our employees for the sole purpose of serving our clients with consistent quality, efficiency and pride. This is made possible by our emphasis on transparency in all key aspects of the firm’s operation and organisation including the management structure, decision-making processes, client relationships, individual performance, promotions and compensation. Transparency instils a sense of ownership and empowers all to trust each other for the benefit of ourselves and clients alike.

Strategy and future

We follow the needs of our clients to formulate strategies. As a general matter, our strategy is to ensure that at any given time we have the requisite skill sets and industry knowledge to meet their diverse needs. As many of our clients are in the fast-evolving technology and new economy sectors dependent on the global market, a new challenge we face these days is to help them deal with the increasing volatilities resulting from the seismic changes in the world economic and geopolitical landscapes. These volatilities not only affect the business operations of the clients, but also impact their decisions to retain legal services. Clients expect more than ever that their trusted advisors deliver practical solutions, rather than academic analysis of risks, to help them ride out these challenges. Their expectations guide our strategies for today and tomorrow.
