“Definitely a good place to study. I put myself out there in terms of extracurricular stuff and joined the legal society. I built up relationships with tutors and it was a really positive experience.”
A good-value Midlands option, BCU particularly impresses with its 'Virtual Solicitor's Office' – an online learning platform that combines prepping for sessions with simulating the life of a mid-size firm. Back in the real world, the law school recently moved to a fancy new city centre building with all the mod cons and two libraries, so there should be enough space to sit down and cram come exam time, including an LPC-only dedicated resource room. There's a broad enough range of electives if you want to keep your options open, but most graduates go to high-street, rather than City or national practices. The school also offers a wide range of pro bono opportunities for students, helping you gain experience and boost your CV.
